I know, I know...I'm late to the party. But here I am. My first blog post.
I've finally succumbed to the charms of sharing my trivial thoughts with the world...or perhaps it's just some sort of mid-life crisis. What I have to contribute to the world peace is nil, but I figured I'd give it a go.
I suppose I should introduce myself to the few of you that I have not met who might stumble upon my blog. I reside in a loft on Capitol Hill in D.C. with my husband and an ever-active toddler son.
Until three years ago, I spent my entire professional life working in some form or fashion with Congress and the government.
In 2008, I followed my husband to live in Baghdad, Iraq and spent almost two years abroad living and working there, as well as traveling throughout the world. Perhaps, I was becoming burned out in D.C., or maybe it was my experience in Iraq, but after working to achieve my professional goals for so long, I decided I needed a break.
We eventually returned to D.C. and I started working on a new business plan. Along the way, we were blessed with a son who just turned 2.
Yes, I am a Stay-at-Home mom. Yes, the business plan sits on shelf not fully developed. However, I have embarked upon another mysterious adventure, only this one involved a pint-sized bug named Dylan.
Yes, I still love to travel, shoot photos, wear heels, and work hard to entertain my son and live a life of adventure with my Partner-in-Crime. These are my random thoughts, inspirations and photos that prove, indeed, Life is Another Mistri.
Be kind and enjoy.
xoxo,
-amy
